JUNE 21-22 AWAY TOURNAMENT AT DESERT WILLOW GOLF RESORT
The 2-day tournament returns to Palm Desrt this June. The dates are June 21st and June 22nd 2025. We will be playing at Desert Willow Golf Resort. On Saturday we will play at the Mountain View Course starting at 7:45am and on Sunday we will play the Firecliff Course starting at 7:20am. The cost is $300. This includes green fees, cart fees, use of the practice facilities, and prize fund for both days. We will have low gross and low net winners like our usual away tournaments. There are 36 spots reserved so far. If interest is high, then I can try to increase the number. Please sign up early or let me know if you are going to play so I will have enough time to increase our player count if necessary.

This year La Mirada Men's Club will not be reserving rooms for the players. Lodging is the responsibility of the players. Some people have places to stay already and it is a bit of a hassle trying to get enough people to commit to a hotel. It should not be a problem to find a place at that time of year.

JULY 13TH HOME TOURNAMENT DETAILS:

$67.00 will be collected at the Pro Shop for each player's green fee plus cart fee. If you are walking, the cost is $50.50.  Tee times start at 7:06AM. Show up early before your tee time!  We now must confirm our total number of tee times and player count with La Mirada Golf Course 10 days in advance of play so sign up early or you may miss out!

**To participate in the Prize Fund with Low Gross, Low Net, Skins, Closest To Pin on Par 3's, and Longest Putt on the 18th Hole competition, please pay the $35.00 Home Tournament prize fund fee with credit card using the tournament "Sign-up Online" link or via Zelle to LaMiradaMensGolfClub@gmail.com before the day of the tournament.** 

2025 LM PRESIDENT'S CUP TOURNAMENT DETAILS:
Format: Match Play, single elimination. Elite 8 Remain.
Handicaps: All participants will use their SCGA GHIN Current Index.
 

TWO-PERSON BEST BALL:
Best ball (also known as four-ball in the Ryder Cup) involves 2-person teams where each player on the team plays his own golf ball throughout the round. After each hole the player with the lowest score on the hole (or “best ball”) out of the 2-person team serves as the team’s score. The higher scoring players score is thrown out for that hole.

Best ball format allows players to play their own game (since players keep track of their own scores), while also allowing them to take advantage of their partner playing especially well on holes. 

Each player may be on up to 3 teams.

Cost: $40 per team ($20 each player)

Payouts: Will be based on the total number of entries. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place with under 20 teams and 4th Place added with 20 or more teams.

Payments can be sent via Zelle to LaMiradaMensGolfClub@gmail.com or via Venmo to @Rick-Burnett-2 and add a note “2-ball with your name and your partners name”.


Bunker Rule: When in the bunker, place the ball in the sand in a similar lie condition after lift, rake, and replace. Full relief from standing water applies throughout the course and the ball should be placed in the same cut of grass, meaning rough must stay in rough! A-Flight & B-Flight players use Blue tees. C-Flight players use White tees.
