2026 Board of Directors Election Announcement

Dear Members,

We are pleased to announce that elections for the 2026 Board of Directors will be taking place soon. The Board plays a vital role in guiding our club and ensuring its continued success. Below is an overview of each Board position, its current incumbent, and associated responsibilities.

Provides club leadership, presides over meetings, represents club officially, oversees committees, and
annual goals/events.

Vice-President

Eugene Hernandez

Supports President, leads in their absence, coordinates projects, assists with
tournaments, and board
communication.

Treasurer

Ryan Wilson

Manages finances, budgets, dues, expenses, provides financial reports, ensures
transparency.

Secretary

Rick Scialla

Keeps records, correspondence, distributes agendas/minutes, manages communications,
assists notifications.

Home Tournament Director

Rick Burnett

Plans and manages home
tournaments, coordinates with
staff, sets formats, manages
signups/scoring.

Away Tournament Director

James Hamilton

Organizes away tournaments, manages logistics, tee times,
and member communication.

Handicap Chairman

Jeorge Gallegos

Maintains handicaps per
USGA/SCGA, monitors posting, resolves questions, enforces fair play.

Rules & Eligibility Chairman

Kenneth Hamilton

Interprets/enforces rules, determines eligibility, handles disputes, promotes fair
competition.

Membership Chairman

Philip Armas

Recruits and onboards new
members, maintains roster, fosters engagement and
retention

SCGA Representative

Bobby Evans

Liaison with SCGA, ensures compliance, communicates updates, assists with GHIN,

promotes Team Play events.

Entertainment Chairman

Louis Pena

Coordinates social/post-tournament events, awards, banquets, raffles, fosters club community.

Publicity Chairman

Derek Wood

Manages club communications, promotion, newsletters,website, social media, highlightsevents and achievements.

Election Process

Elections will be organized by the election committee: Bill Hurtado, Shawn Zellerino, and Joe Werbeck.

To run for a Board position, submit your name and a brief summary of qualifications to Bill Hurtado at netbogey64@outlook.com.

The candidate slate will be announced at the Board meeting on October 21. Elections will be held at the Board meeting on November 18.

We encourage all members to participate, either by running for a position or voting in the election.
