| Concrete Drains |
If a ball comes to rest in or on a concrete ditch, or if the ditch interferes with the stance or swing of making a stroke, and that concreted ditch is not marked as a penalty area, the ball may be lifted and dropped within one club length from as near as possible to its original position, while allowing for complete relief, no nearer the hole without penalty. (Rule 16.1 applies)

Concrete Pathway on #5

1. The maintenance area at the end of the concrete ditch that crosses the fairway is considered a boundary penalty are as defined by the walls surrounding this area. The opening in the wall is considered an open gateway and if the ball ends up between the walls of the gateway it will be considered as Out of Bounds. Stroke and distance will apply in accordance with Rule 18.2.
2. If the ball stops on the concrete ditch, free relief can be given according to Rule 16.1.
3. If the ball rolls into the red staked penalty area, relief under penalty of one stroke should be taken according to Rule 17.1d.

| Preferred lies (to be determined on day of play) |

A ball lying within the general course of play may be lifted and cleaned, without penalty, and placed within one club length of where it originally lay, not nearer the hole, and so as to preserve as nearly as possible the course condition of the original lie. A ball so lifted is back in play when it has been placed (The Rules of Golf, Rule 14.2c). The general area of the course is deemed to be the whole area of the course except:
1. The teeing ground and putting green of the hole being played; and
2. All bunkers and penalty areas on the course.
Note: Guidelines for determining preferred lies on regular play days
1. Preferred lies will be determined ONLY by assessing two categories: weather and course maintenance.
a. Weather: Course has received steady rain of an inch or more the previous day/current morning OR is currently raining steadily and creating puddling on areas of the course.
b. Course Maintenance: The maintenance crew has performed total course maintenance to fairways and/or greens during the previous week that has left the course in overall poor condition. EXAMPLE - Scraping fairways and aeration of fairways.
2. Preferred lies MAY NOT be called on the day of play for all or portions of the course that are simply in poor condition if these conditions are considered typical conditions of play for our course. EXAMPLE - Sparse fairway grass, bare areas that have remained in this condition for long periods of time, wet areas due to overwatering.
3. The number one rule of golf to protect the integrity of the game is "Play the course as you find it." Spot areas of the course where there is evidence of current maintenance will be covered under rules of golf, abnormal ground conditions. This does not include areas that are not under current maintenance or repair.

| Hole 7 Cart Path |

If, at any time during play of hole #7, a player’s ball strikes the concrete path running parallel to the fairway and proceeds to roll back down the cart path toward teeing ground and proceeds past the most forward mown edge of the teeing ground, the player must consider the area as a "no play zone" by the TVWGC and relief must be taken in accordance with Rule 19.2 (relief from an unplayable lie). Two examples shown below:
a. If, during your tee shot, the ball ends up in the NO PLAY ZONE, you may stop the ball from continuing and drop the ball either at the nearest location to where the ball last entered into the NO PLAY ZONE and that offers relief from any obstruction OR you may replay the shot, including reteeing the ball, under penalty of one stroke in accordance with Rule 19.2.
b. If, during play of the hole (other than the tee shot), the ball ends up in the NO PLAY ZONE, you may stop the ball from continuing and drop the ball either at the nearest location to where the ball last entered into the NO PLAY ZONE and that offers relief from any obstruction, OR replay the shot from where it was last played. The player's relief may be taken in accordance with Rule 19.2, one stroke penalty.
