    2. Greens / Course Report- Garritson (VIA EMAIL):
      1. Email from Garriston - “So next sand delivery will be later this week. On Monday I plan on filling the 3 fairway bunkers on 15. After that we will start going through every bunker on the course 1 by 1. Unfortunately this will be a process as the summertime has us busy with just normal maintenance.

“Newly shaved areas are starting to fill in. Holes 2,4, and 6 are the first ones we did and they are really coming along. I anticipate 90% coverage by next week with some spots that may need a little extra attention. My goal is to let them come in with as little input as possible for the first two weeks because if I give them fertilizer they may grow to fast for us to keep up with. Holes 12,13,14 and 15 were shaved 1 week after so they will take another 2 weeks. I started with these holes because they are the bigger areas and I wanted them to get done first. I would like to do some more areas.

We are doing pretty well through the heat. We had some problems keeping green speeds up through the more humid days of July. The humidity has dropped and I am started to see green speeds become more stable again. The front of 18 is still my problem child. Poor drainage is still causing issues in this area. We will get it through summer and then we will start actually fixing the problems when the heat starts to come down a bit. It has been an extremely hot July so I want to wait until the weather is better for our greens to work on it.

Hope this helps. We are grinding it out and giving the best product we can at this time.”
