                     Club Local Rules

Play is governed by USGA Rules of Golf, except where applicable local rules shown here apply
.

Pace of Play - Note start time on score cards.  It is important to keep up with the group in front of you.

Immovable Obstructions - Staked trees and 150 yard granite markers are defined as immovable obstructions.  The Player gets free relief of stance and swing.

Ground Under Repair
 - Flower beds and newly sodded areas are to be played as Ground Under Repair.

- Ground Under Repair is not generally marked on the course unless there is a specific tournament requiring it.  When Ground Under Repair is not designated, and everyone in the foursome agrees that an area should be considered Ground Under Repair, the player may take relief under the "Ground Under Repair" rule.  When the course staff has marked Ground Under Repair areas, then only those marked areas will be considered Ground Under Repair. (Note:  This rule does not conform to USGA rules for Ground Under Repair.  It applies to the local women's club only.)

Punched Fairways - If fairways have recently been punched and the ball comes to rest in one of the punched holes, the player may lift the ball out of the hole and drop it as close as possible to where it came to rest.

Drainage Ditches - If a ball lands in a drainage ditch, the player gets a free drop from where the ball entered the ditch.  Relief is the nearest point, no nearer the hole.  If a ball landing in a drainage ditch cannot be located due to being carried away by running water, the player gets a free drop from where the ball entered the ditch.

Hiking Trail Markers -Temecula Creek Inn Resort maintains hiking trails for its guests throughout the course.  The hiking trails are marked by red stakes with white tips. They are not to be misconstrued with OB stakes along the perimeter of the course.

Out of Bounds
- Out of Bounds are marked by white stakes or lines.
- Note Out of Bounds on the right side of the Oaks Course, holes 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8.
- Note Out of Bounds on the left side of Stone House, holes 1, 6, 7, and over the cart path behind the green on Stone House 9.

Provisional Ball - A Provisional Ball may be put in play for an out-of-bounds or lost ball provision only.

Accidental Movement of a Ball on a Putting Green
- Rules 18-2, 18-3, and 20-1 are modified as follows:
When a player's ball lies on the putting green, there is no penalty if the ball or ball-marker is accidentally moved by the player, his partner, his opponent, or any of their caddies or equipment.
The moved ball or ball-marker must be replaced as provided in Rules 18-2, 18-3, and 20-1.
This Local Rule applies only when the player's ball or ball-marker lies on the putting green and any movement is accidental.
Note:  If it is determined that a player's ball on the putting green was moved as a result of wind, water or some other natural cause such as the effects of gravity, the ball must be played as it lies from its new location.  A Ball-marker moved in such circumstances is replaced.

Distance Measuring Devices - Such devices are allowed except those with wind and slope measuring capability.

Other Notes:
- Cell phone use is prohibited except for an extreme emergency.
