In Loving Memory of,
Barbara Tolle Gone yet not forgotten, forever in our hearts  .jpg) It's a year since we received the alarming news that a weak artery had sent our kind and generous friend and mentor Barbara Tolle to the hospital, and what a disconcerting year it's been. The sadness lingers, but thanks to the calming of this country's political waters, the promise of a Covid-19 vaccine and the strong foundation Barbara laid for the strong group of women now filling her shoes, better days lie ahead.
When a club member suggested this tribute to our former president and tournament coordinator, I readily agreed. But putting into words my feelings about my treasured friend is harder than I imagined. As I chopped vegetables for my Thanksgiving dinner, anguish washed over me as I thought of Barbara doing the same thing when a sharp pain triggered her desperate call for help. When Barbara lost her nine-day struggle for survival, we lost a leader who fostered much more than fun for our group of golfers. Everyone of us lost a friend who welcomed and valued us as individuals; who helped prepare us to surmount outside pressures-like changes in golf course management and digital technology, a global pandemic, divisive politics and even family stress. Though some of you may know me as the Eeyore of this group, a wisp of Barbara's wise positive spirit now occupies a corner of my conscience, constantly counseling patience and kindness and cheering me on. She assures me that there is a light at the end of this dark tunnel we've been traveling the past year. I am grateful this Thanksgiving holiday for Barbara's enduring, gracious presence and for those of you who are keeping her memory alive in your contribution to this group. Diane Cole TCIWGC Transitions to Golf Genius As many of you may have heard, LA Golf has announced they will be closing their website effective December 31st, 2020. We already were exploring the opportunities and functionality Golf Genius (GG) could alternatively offer us, but now, the decision has been made for us. And here is where the excitement begins: Temecula Creek Golf Club already owns the Golf Genius program, and they have generously offered to set us up on the premier level with all of the many benefits the program has to offer our club, including:
Secondly, we have Sandy Barletta, our web master, who is very experienced with the Golf Genius program implementation and necessary training.
