SPONSORSHIP LEVELS
Last Updated: 09/14/08
We are seeking sponsors for the 2nd Annual George Von Elm Memorial Golf Tournament, a two-day event benefiting youth golf programs across Southern California.

On October 24 & 25, 2008, business leaders and philanthropists will join the Greater Los Angeles golf community at historic Rancho Park Golf Course, former home of the Los Angeles Open and site of numerous PGA, LPGA, Champions Tour, USGA, SCGA, PLGA and Los Angeles City Championships.

The tournament benefits The SCGA Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and the City of Los Angeles, Department of Parks & Recreation, Youth Golf Program.

The SCGA Foundation programs include a statewide initiative with the NCGA Foundation called Youth on Course, which provides affordable access to golf, and Giving Back Through The Game Grants that teach life skills and provide educational opportunities for kids, such as Boys & Girls Clubs, The First Tee and Junior Golf Associations.

The Youth Golf Program is a citywide junior golf program aimed at providing an opportunity for children ages 7 through 18 to develop golf skills, life lessons and competition experience, while building relationships with their peers.

George Von Elm was a life-member of the Rancho Park Golf Club and was rated the second best amateur golfer in the United States throughout the 1920's, where he won most of the top amateur titles while representing Rancho. George beat amateur legend Bobby Jones to win the 1926 U.S. Amateur Championship at Baltusrol as well as playing on multiple Walker Cup teams. Von Elm also lost the longest match in U.S. Amateur history in 1930 and the longest playoff in U.S. Open history in 1931.

The George Von Elm Memorial is a fantastic opportunity to promote your business or organization to a desirable group of participants and corporate sponsors while supporting a terrific cause -- and enjoying two days at Los Angeles' most prestigious public golf facility.

Thank you!
