Here is summary of the IHWGA Performance Statistics and Ringer optional competition, along with latest standings. Performance Statistics Statistics in the 5 categories shown below are calculated monthly. Below are current standings along with a description of each of the categories.
Earn 1 point for every round played, including Weekend Play Days, Team Play matches, Away Team Play practice rounds, IHWGA tournaments, IHWGA guest days, and even the monthly Men's club guest days. For the IHWGA guest days, you also earn another point for every guest you bring (maximum of 3 per guest day). For major tournaments (Partners, President's Cup, Club Championship), earn 2 points for each day played. At the end of the year, the top 10 members in the standings are awarded with a complementary round of golf with the board members, luncheon and prizes.
Gross and net points are earned for your gross and net score standings in the Weekend Play Days and IHWGA tournaments. The number of points available for each event is determined by the number of participants; one point for every 5 players. For example if there were 18 players, 3 points are available. In this example the lowest gross and net scorers earns 3 points, 2nd place earns 2 points, and 3rd place earns 1 point. At the end of the year, the gross and net winners are announced at the annual meeting and receive a prize.
Birdies and chipins that are recorded on the results sheets for Weekend Play Days and IHWGA tournaments are added to your individual totals. At the end of the year, the members with the most total birdies and chip-ins are announced at the annual meeting and receive a prize.
This is the average number of putts you record for all qualifying rounds you play, including Weekend Play days and tournaments. A qualifying round is one where you did not 'x out', or 'pick up' on any hole during the round. At the end of the year, the member with the lowest average, provided she has at least 15 qualifying rounds, is announced at the annual meeting and is awarded a prize.Ringer Tracks your best gross and net score for each hole, for each course. Each quarter your 'best' score is added up, and the winners will get a payout. Contact Ann Garrett if you would like to participate in the ringer. There is a $10 buy in for each course. You can enter for both or just one course. Click here for Ike Ringer Quarterly Results |
