Monday was MARTIN LUTHER KING'S HOLIDAY. As our custom we had our first tournament of the new year. It is our way of honoring the man and his deeds to advance the progress of all Afro-Americans, especially black golfers. We golfers know the trials and tribulations of Black golfers who tried to break into the main stream of the golf world. This was apart of the struggles of Blacks in sports.
We had a great turn out. The course was in great shape. The greens were fast. The competition was good. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We signd up new members.
