Pigbodies Golf Association Policies and Procedures for Handicapping
 
The Handicap Committee within the golf club is responsible for all aspects of the USGA Handicap
System, including the computation of each members’ s Handicap Index. As a committee we will verify that all acceptable scores are reported for handicap purposes. All recorded scores will be

Handicap Committee Members:   Al Rae, Bill Uphoff and Chuck Beauregard
As a committee, we ensure compliance with the USGA Handicap System, including peer review.
The committee members including the chair consists of members of the Pigbodies Golf Association.
 
The handicap committee has set forth the following policies and procedures for all members
Using the USGA handicap system.
 
    1. Post all acceptable rounds, including 9 hole scores
    2. Scores must be posted within 2 days of he game being played. Post all Pigs events as (T)
         Tournament , unless notified the day of the event.
    3. Equitable Stroke Control must be applied to al scores for posting purposes. See below.

What is an Acceptable Score?
 
       1. If 13 or more holes are played in an 18 hole round
       2. if 7-12 holes are played for a 9 hole round
       3. Match play, stroke play and team competitions
       4.If a player is requested to pick up when out of contention, including team competitions
       5. If a player is disqualified from a competition, but has an acceptable score it must be posted
 
All acceptable scores must be posted using one of the following methods
 
       1.Posting computer at any golf course utilizing GHIN
       2. Ghin.com website
 
A player must earn a Handicap Index. No Player has an inherent right to a Handicap Index without Providing full evidence to our golf club’s Handicap Committee. The Handicap Committee has the Full authority and obligation to adjust a Handicap Index if it feels necessary to do so.
