Thomas Lincoln
~ You Will Be Dearly ~
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved friend and long-time Club Member Thomas Lincoln. Tom was in his early 80's and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last January. He was too far along for recovery and passed away last week in his fight against cancer. He is survived by his beautiful wife Katheryn who is surrounded by many family members who are helping her get through this tough time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Lincoln Family and their Friends.
Rest In Peace

Jim passed peacefully at his home this past Thursday on March 29, 2012. Jim's family will share the memorial service details with us once the arrangements are made. We will be sure to pass them along to you once we've been informed. Please keep Jim and his family in your thoughts and prayers.... Rick Morales

VERBAL L. HOLCOLM
Verbal L. Holcomb, my Dad, passed quietly at his home in San Bernardino, Calif., on November 23, 2009.
He had been ill for some time. Although a manager of operations at the Colton Cement Company for 29 years, it was his achievements during World War II that set my father apart and made him a member of “The Greatest Generation.” Dad served in the Army Air Corp and flew 27 combat missions over Nazi-occupied Europe as a tail gunner in a B-17. He was awarded the Air Medal four times, as well as the WWII Victory and National Defense medals. He received The Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, The American Campaign and The European Campaign Medals. He flew out of a small town of Mendleshom, England. He also flew two humanitarian missions to feed the people of Holland. These missions, he often told me, were eerie because the crew mike was turned off as his plane flew in an established corridor, with German antiaircraft guns following its every move. The Dutch folks were so hungry and eager to get the food that some were killed when the dropped food packages fell on them.
Dad was a member of E Clampus Vitus, the Hop Me Posse group. He was made an honorary Grand Noble Humbug for a day during Brian Nash's reign as president.

BILL GRIMLEY
To most of you, he was Bill Grimley. To me, he was my grandfather.
He passed away on October 18, 2009, at the age of 87.
Almost from its inception in 1962, Bill was an active member of the Eaton Canyon Men’s Club. He was best known for his colorful pants and kango hats.
The club always held a special place in my grandfather’s life, and he made lots of friends playing in its tournaments and participating in its social events. Although Bill hadn’t been able to play golf for the past 10 years, he still felt like a member of the Eaton Canyon family, especially after the club named him an honorary life member. He always enjoyed reading The Eagle and finding out what was going on at the club.
Thank you, Grandpa, for introducing me to the great game of golf and the Eaton Canyon Golf Club. We will all miss you.
