Membership Information

Looking for a Golf Club to join?  Penmar Golf Club (PGC) is always looking for new members.

PGC offers monthly tournaments throughout the year, both local and away.  The club members average about a 19 handicap index (ranging from 1 to 34): therefore we offer flights for different skill levels to provide fair competition for any level of golfer.
  

Weekday Tournaments offer:

          Closest to the hole on selected par 3’s

          Longest putt.

          Low Gross
          1^st & 2^nd Places in handicap brackets.

            (Points are awarded throughout the year for both gross and net scores.  The high points leaders win the Club and President's Points Championships.)

Weekend Tournaments offer:

          1^st & 2^nd Places in different handicap brackets. 
          Closest to the hole on selected par 3’s also known as Greenies.
          Side pots games are available on date of play
            (From winning, points are awarded throughout the year for the year end point winner.)
 

Other annual events Include:

            Club Match Play events for both teams and individuals.

                 (Winners are eligible for city and state level events)

Lag Putt Competition, (This is where the practice putting greens are converted into
                  an 18 hole putt off format.)

            Club Holiday Banquet.
 

Other benefits:

PGC is a Member of theSouthern California Golf Association.  Also, we are a Member of the Los Angeles Municipal Golf Association. 
This club is officially sanctioned by the Department of Recreation and Parks, City of Los Angeles.

Members will be able to acquire a USGA handicap index; this is used to determine a player’s handicap at  golf courses throughout the United States (and most of the world)!
