As many of you know, our Club was founded in 2007 by former members and leaders of the Sepulveda Men’s Club to better address the needs of senior golfers like us. As these original founders moved on, other members stepped forward to take on roles of responsibility to continue growing the club to maintain a strong social and competitive golf environment for seniors.
We now look to the future and think about this same issue: how to maintain and grow our Club. Fortunately, we have more new and young members than we have ever had. We have many fresh ideas, some of which we need to argue for with LA City Golf Management. To do this, we must continue to bring these younger members into the Club’s leadership.
We have twelve board members. They are responsible for the Club’s successful functioning. We also have important support from several non-board members. Every year at our December banquet, we elect our new Board for the following year. We are always looking for members to help us continue to grow. For our Club to continue to be as successful as it has been, we need members to be willing to help with the organization of our Club’s activities.
We are at a time in our Club’s history when we need to identify members who are willing to continue the great work done by many who have come before us. We hope that you all enjoy the value that you receive for being a member of Sepulveda Seniors’ Golf Club and hope you will step up to help. If you would like to become involved in any type of leadership role in the future, come forward now!
Please speak with one of our current Board members or send an email of interest to our Club President, Saul Isler (saulisler@gmail.com}. You are also always welcome to join us at one of our Board meetings in the Sepulveda restaurant.
Our next meeting is Monday, October 17 at 1:30 p.m.
We want you to be part of this success story and we know that with your support and willingness to volunteer, the Sepulveda Seniors’ Golf Club will continue to provide enjoyment, socialization, and golf competition for many years to come.
We look forward to your support.
Sincerely,
SSGC Board of Directors
